I have bronchitis. Thanks to the ACA, I was able to get medicine for $0. #ThanksObama

LIES.
that came from taxes I paid.

Well, let my know how much I owe you and I’ll drop a few pennies in the mail. War comes from taxes you paid, and I personally dislike the amount I pay going for that… Maybe we should check “yes” or “no” on our 1040 forms this year for allocation of tax dollars.
I’m sorry you think I’m lying, but I’m not. I qualified for the Medicaid expansion under the ACA, which is partially funded through taxpayer revenue. I don’t think the IRS mailed you a letter saying, “Nah nah nah nah naaaaaaah! This year’s tax dollars went to pay for medicine for poor people mwahahaha!” Who knows? Maybe YOUR portion of tax dollars went to a Hellfire missile that took out a village in Afghanistan. Ooh, how exciting for you!
Comfort yourself with that thought as I use my inhaler, which I would not have been able to afford without the ACA.

#gonna need obamacare to afford treatment for that burn jackass

what the fuck is wrong with Americans who aren’t on board with free healthcare. I’m Canadian and I don’t care that I pay extra taxes so a little boy in Alberta can have open heart surgery, or an elderly man in Nova Scotia can get the heart medication he desperately needs. It’s called taking care of your people. I’m glad I pay so that people can have a good quality of life. It’s called being a decent fucking human being.

empathy motherfuckers can you muster some

Seriously - as someone who was born with an immune deficiency, you have no idea how much I DREAM about free healthcareIf I weren’t so attached to my family in the states, I would have begun filling out citizenship papers for Canada years ago [I doubt I’d qualify, but it can’t hurt to try]

Healthcare is only free to those who make under 40k a year. Everyone else gets fucked in the ass here in America. I pay 25% of my income to taxes and my insurance has increased from 88$ to 375$ in one year! I pay redick amounts just to see a dentist bc dental isn’t a part of my plan. I’ll be waiting on the jobless lazy ppl to send me a bail out
Let’s play the hunger games where you fucking pay for your own healthcare I’m sure the population would decrease

FYI the United States currently has a 6.17 (per 1000) infant mortality rate so far for 2014. This is one of the highest for a fully developed country and has been a consistent trend for quite a number of years; many have attributed this to a lack of public healthcare systems. If you’re a fan of big numbers the most recent US birth stats have the number of births(2012) at 3,952,841. So if this years trend continues there would be 24389.029 infant deaths in the US in 2014. I do acknowledge that not all of these deaths would be preventable nor due to healthcare accessibility, however if the trend see’s a decline over the next few years an association can clearly be drawn. So if there is a decline isn’t that worth a little tax from your pocket?
Also, if people are so hell bent on ignoring the fact that they themselves are receiving this benefit too, maybe they should think the tax they are paying is going towards their grandparents or less fortunate friends or relatives.
Public healthcare does a lot of good from a little tax from everyone. It’s like a Kickstarter that keeps people healthy.

mike had this vid on his site

My mouth literally hung open the entire 3 minutes..

Holy shit omg.

daaaaaamn.

Not all of us stole music… The 250+ cd’s in my room is kind of a testament to that…

It’s a testament to “Veronica Mars” that the movie isn’t just an exercise in fan service and nostalgia for a television show long gone. Instead, it’s a sad, sharp statement on what happens when income inequality, police misconduct and racism compound each other, and how hard it is to win even limited change. (x)
